For sale is my cb Gsr 2 door hatch. Wanted a fair bit for it previously. Had a buyer (mates sis) so was happy. Go for a roady and not a bad list so fair enough. Still needs front rotors, wiper blades and 2 front tyres (unless you know someone *cough cough*. And some gasket glue on one of the exhaust flanges. I replaced bottom rad hose, headlights (un installed hid's but they are there for car once roadied) air con belt 2 drivers door seals which were a pain to find. And the sunroof seal which cost me $180!!!!

Need it in for final inspection on Thursday and today the clutch stopped working. Could be slave, could be something else. Haven't and don't have time to look at it. So this brings me to my point I'm over it. Can't afford to put any more money into it so selling cheap. As is for $1500 Ono. Just so I come close to breaking even. Easily re registered if you want it or I can hold plates for a few weeks till you get a roady. I don't have any more free time with everything else going on so my loss is your bargain.
Remember 2L engine, nice wheels, sunroof (working) aircon, perfect interior, hid's, lowered ect ect. Can provide copy of roady report too.

Price 1500 Ono.

Let me also make clear that the engine itself has never had a problem. Full comp, had it for 6 years. Probs just over 150km on the engine.

It drives. Just stopped going into gear. Turned car off put it in gear. Started it and then it was fine for a few more km's then did it again. Then it got harder and harder to shift so I turned car off and started in gear and it kinda goes like that. Re bled the clutch but made no difference. Master is pretty much new. Could be slave. Could be fork. Could be clutch plate. But like I said in post I don't have time to look at it before Thursday and don't have the money to pay for another inspection.

If an interstate buyer was interested I cant see them doing that for 8-9 hours.
Thats what I was getting at.
Which is a shame for you and any potential interstate buyer.

Those symptoms sounds like a spring has come out of the clutch plate jamming between the fingers of the pressure plate (had that happen to me before)
Is it an exeddy clutch by any chance? Common problem with them.

GLWS

Yep. Exedy. And that has happened to me on this car too....with another exedy clutch. But the symptom was different. The pedal would only go halfway down then jam. It still goes fully to to floor so has full throw

Could also be interested in swaps for a trailer (not a car trailer, just a 6x4 or 7x4 ect). Maybe a little cash my way depending in condition and size

If an Interstate buyer is keen I can have a closer look at the clutch. Otherwise grab a trailer :) I've driven from Melbs to my gamier and new and shep in it many times no problems. So motor is a dream. Just clutch problems a few times. Recon Jamo hit mail on head with shitty excedy clutches. Although symptom is different to my last excedy fail.

True. But be shame to send it off and be run down/treated like crap. And this guy with his low balling and general vibe didn't look like someone who would take care of it. Then again it won't be my car anymore. But be a shame coz there are so few of them out there

"Haven't and don't have time to look at it. So this brings me to my point I'm over it. Can't afford to put any more money into it so selling cheap."

You said it yourself in the sentence above...

might need some aloe vera for that burn...lol

just sell me the wheels and take it and runn ill make them fit the GSR

If it's any consolation, cars don't need a clutch to be driven (don't flame, chill and listen) you need them to take off, unless you turn the engine off and put it into first then rev match, which I'm sure most real drivers who can heel toe to change down are able to do if you are in traffic. The syncros will match at the right revs to drive while moving, did it for 2 months with a 2 ton 60 series landcruiser in Brisbane.
But all that said, considering what I've had to got through to get anything near reliable with my POS, as much as it pains you, either put up the cash and fix it, or part it out.
If it's not what you ultimately want as the car you deserve to drive, toss it! Look around, not one person I know has ever made money out of any car they have modified sold as a whole, parted out is a bit better but it still will feel like passing a kidney stone mate, I do feel your pain, I honestly do.

Sure you dont need a clutch.
My old ke30 corolla would bang into reverse from a standstill without the clutch.

But if you are not planning to replace synchroes you need to use the clutch. They are designed to match the internal gearbox speeds. They are not designed to slow a engine or driveline.
Even a truck should atilize the clutch as without it you load the corners of the gears as you change.
I use the clutch on the bike as well.

Ok to not use it in a emergency but not something I would encourage. To me its like reving a cold engine or driving away as soon as engine starts.
Just doesnt show much mechanical appreciation. ..

Yes I know how to rev match. Thats how i got it home. Done it plenty of times in emergencies.
Like jack said, gearboxes aren't designed to be driven like that. :p wouldn't risk doing it interstate though :p
