Now Im really really stumped, and Ive gone through some of the other topics regarding the issue of "Overboosting/Fuel Cutout", even googled it...... Here is the situation:

Stock boost running off factory solenoid, Greddy Air filter, Cold air duct and when its a lovely Melbourne summer day 30+ degrees i dont have a problem in the world, holding a safe consistent 1-1.2 bar through the rev range and through all gears.....

A night like tonight( and its just happenned bout 30 mins ago) 24degrees, 3rd and 4th gear under load im getting the spike past 1.2 bar and the sudden cut off??? Now Ive checked all plumbing and dont seem to have any visible leaks.

Could I have a faulty WG actuator, faulty MAP sensor, faulty boost solenoid, or tired factory recirc valve (dump valve)? Just like to be pointed in the right direction, or should I just change/update all those parts.

Swap over to a MBC with it screwed all the way in and still had the same issue, so went back to factory solenoid.

Would it be worth just getting a FCD and bypassing factory setup.

Please help

Can anyone who is still using there stock boost solenoid tell me, the hose leading from the actuator? Does that slide onto the nipple closest to the firewall or the nipple towards the front of the car?

Problem solved. Replaced wastegate actuator with one from an E8 and she is boosting and holding boost like she is supposed too. No ignition cut through the whole rev range.

Yep, had me stumped cause everything is stock. When you start modding , then its easier to narrow down the aftermarket changes. I'm sure when the time comes for anyone to need guidance in the panel and paint dept, then I'll be able to contribute my expertise to the forum.
