Overboosting Problem

Hey fellas

I've been having probs with the boost in my Aspec for a while now. Found out just recently that my exhaust manifold is cracked like a mofo, and replaced it thinking it would solve the prob. But, it's still there!

I cant seem to lower the boost no matter what i do. It's running at about 14 psi and even with an aftermarket BCS (Go Fast Bits single stage atomic controller) wound all the way down it wont drop at all. I have pulled the restrictor out of the standard BCS btw, and Im now running off that. Any idea what could cause this issue? Any ways for me to fix it? Thanks guys

Try opening the boost controller a flew clicks up and see what happens.

how old is the controller? has it ever been working properly??

does it go straight up, or does it creep up?

are you 200% sure its hooked up properly?

what about your boost gauge?

The controller worked when i first got the car so....

And since both controllers are producing the same result (14psi) you gotta think maybe its another prob?? Leaks or something could cause this couldnt it?

As far as Im aware the boost gauge is good to go.... but i guess i will check again to make sure!

have u tried taking the boost controller off to see if it makes stock boost?

No BCS... that means 15 psi doesnt it? Relying on wastegate to open automagically?
