Parts from a broken EVO 2/3 dash cluster

Hay guys, I'm after the circled pieces pictured below from an EVO 2/3 dash cluster...

So yeah if anyone has a broken cluster and doesn't mind pullin these parts let us know what you want for them... Or as a last resort even a complete working cluster let us know...

Oh ok didn't know that. And yes come to think of it they would be as the evo 1 probably doesn't have the symbol for the rear fog lights... So yeah it would be evo 2/3 I'm after. I'll edit my first post. Cheers man.

Yeah there's a light on the fog light switch itself but when you turn on the rear fog lights it lights up the symbol R-FOG on the dash cluster Too.. It's in the same position. As where the turbo symbol is on a series 1 GSR dash cluster.

Are ok... So the EVO 1 is closer to a GSR cluster...

And yeah that P an ! Symbols are the other reasons why I want to change mine. GSR's have both the P and the ! I only need the ! symbol.

You can get complete clusters from NZ for like $35aus +del but a lot of guys over there don't want to send here and most people there wont use PayPal... So the guys that will send won't except PP as payment...

I assume you don't have rear fog lights being a coupe. But is that photo from your car or just one from the net ??

Reason I ask is

1, if I turn my lights on then press the fog light button the symbol lights up on the dash. But if I do them same thing when my car is on REDS then symbol doesn't light up !! Is it only suppose to light when the car is off as a warning that you've left them on or is something not right here ??

2, when the car is off, I turn the lights on, then press the fog light button !! Is the gold relay box thingy under the stereo suppose to click ??

If anyone can help with this please jump In.

Nah that was a pic I found off the net, there has got to be people out there who can answer that question, who either owns a genuine EVO2/3 or they have done a full conversion

I do have rear fog lights, but they are not hooked up

The gold relay?? on the passenger side?? thats teh Engine control relay, they shouldnt click with the lights, that controls the fuel

The 1 on the drivers side should be a beeper, should beep to warn you when the key in the ignition and the door is open, also i think it has a constant beep when the lights are on without keys in the ignition

I havnt driven my car foe a while so im a bit shady

And the ecu and the sensors. It clicks once at key on and about 4sec after key off, and on and off for the fuel pump

Never noticed the rear fogs before. Are they "Jap" or proton ?? They look sweet !!

Yeah it's the gold engine relay that clicks. can't for the life of me work out why ... It clicks for key on and off as it should..

But yeah also clicks when I turn on the fog switch when the key is off.. Doesn't click when I turn them off though...

Ok guys I've got the issue I was having with the fogs sorted.

Some globes of the back of GSR and EVO clusters have constant 12v (on reds) and are triggered by an earth.. Some have Constant earth (all the time) and are triggered by 12v...

The rear fog globe on an EVO cluster is constant earth, but on a GSR cluster the turbo globe (same position as rear fog on an EVO) is constant 12v...

So all I had to do was cut two tracks in the track sheet on the rear of the cluster and solder on two very short jumper wires and now it works perfectly !!

I had to cut two tracks because the track that go's to the globe continues on to one of the screws that supply's power to the temp/fuel gauges which requires constant 12v(with reds on) so I had to cut that too... I then just soldered one wire from that track back to a constant 12v track and another wire from the globe track over to a constant earth track....

And in answer to my question above (number 1.) ... The rear fog symbol is illuminated as long as the fog switch is on, regardless of what position the ingition switch is in....

So yeah sorted.....


I'm still in need of the two symbol plates guys so if you can help us out let me know...
