Hey all,

Could someone verify what parts these are (below) and where they can be purchased? Also, does anyone have any BOV reccomendations? Does open air vented bov's hurt our engine/decrease performance? If so, what about using an HKS SSQ BOV and recirculating it?

I lost 1 of my original JDM Red Flaps, does anyone know where to find replacements?

I was told this is an HKS aftermarket bumper. Anyone have a model #?

Where to purchase clear side blinker lights? (rather then the stock amber ones)?

Where in the world can I find these tails for sale?

Thanks in advance,

^^^ Great, thank you for those links.

What does everyone think of replacing the stock radiator with something like a lightweight aluminum radiator? and/or replacing the stock hosing?

Thanks,

in regards to a BOV, plumbback is better, an EVO 8 MR plumback is a great upgrade, otherwise a good aftermarket one would be fine

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "plumbback" BOV? same as 'recirculating" i take it? And as for open-air or recirculated air, are their pros and cons on our engines? I hear bad things about open-air. On that same note, can something like an HKS SSQ BOV being converted to recirculated while retaining the iconic "whoosh" noise, or are their other recirculating BOV"s out there that give that noise?

Thank you,

I replaced mine (the plastic part at the top cracked) with this one here:

The fit and finish is good, and hey, it's a radiator, they're not terribly complex items and I've had no problems with mine. There's no plastic to crack unlike the stock jobbie and it was cheaper to get the aluminum one than getting another copper/brass one from the dealer. Replacing all the hosing is a good idea as the hoses are probably 15 years old.

EDIT: WTF! They are now selling these things in my town!

That's like $100 less than what I paid for mine! Where were these guys when I needed a new rad 6 months ago?

Well, I guess that would be your best bet.

Thank you,

yes they are the same...

a lot of mitsi's tend to run crap if converting to an ext. venting bov, bad idle, backfire etc. plus in most instances ext. venting bovs are illegal...

most plumback bovs still make a level of noise, just not as loud. I am running a Turbosmart type III plumback bov on mine... has adjustment for hard on soft which naturally has an effect the 'loudness' of the noise... I believe that some bov's are duel port... so you could reticulate one port and vent the other to atmosphere - but i dont know how effective this will be...

gfb (go fast bits) and a few other brands have stealth or deceptor style bovs... as above its kind of like a dual port bov, and you can either manually or electronically adjust the amount of air which is vented to the atmosphere (eg. its a plumback bov in theory but you can vent some air to the atmosphere to make it louder)

I know, I bought a rad from him and had to ship it from HK. The second link is showing that he's now got a Canadian distributor, actually I just got a message from him(her actually) with a local phone# to call when I go to pick it up.

That is a HKS kansai front bar, you will probably have to get it from japan.

HKS Kansai front "bars' are the strut bars. I'm referring to the bumper. Still HKS Kansai?

I think he meant front bumper and it is a hks kansai front bumper. Most likely it would have to come from Japan :( probably a pain in the ass as its huge and fiberglass i think, or possibly if theres a shop who carries hks kansai stuff might be able to order it for you but still cost a whole lot of $$$, The tail lights you are after you can get them off ebay like mentioned of check this: www.depoautolights.com GL
