Hey Guys,

Heading overseas soon,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on places to go for Evo 1-3 parts in the countries stated in the title?

Keen on seeing what's out there to bring back.

But just over border from hong kong is china gangzou (where all the ebay stuff comes from) you can get day passes at the border for shopping.
Id be ducking over for a look. Check it out on google maps, its pretty big.

note this is for malaysia

street name Jalan PJS 11/7
Subang Jaya, Selangor
it's near the sunway pyramid in a suburb called subang jaya streets just full of parts for early models it's more a place thats heaven for coupe and proton owners although alot of later mitsu stuff is there

i have plans for trips to japan and china to seek out suppliers for parts that are highly consumable in the taxi industry

Beaded seat covers and vinyl seats ?? ^^

Lol !!
custom healights, tail lights ,coil overs, strut and under body braces, exhausts, full interiors ,body kits, wheels you name it it's there. the spirit of modification is still strong over there. on one street the majority of shops are performance parts places broken up by a few parts installers.

i will tell you what though you get seriously weird looks bringing a pair of headlights from malaysia into thailand while on holiday (kind of intimidating having two customs officers with mp5's come up and stop you and ask whats in the box and then question so why did you buy and bring here? are they illegal in your country?) it's also puzzling to Australian customs when you bring a couple of strut bars wrapped in newspaper back from your holiday

if your going to singapore you can do a day trip over the boarder into malaysia theres a whole bunch of car dealers and stuff just over the boarder or you can fly up to KL from singapore 1hr flight do your day and fly back.

Obviously you missed the point of my statements Kylie.....they were in reference to the above sentence.

yes i missed the reference completely but hey if you know of places selling beaded seat covers hook us up. they're the best. when you ass is glue to the seat for 12 hours they're surprisingly comfortable and they breath better than sheep skin but oddly you can't find the suckers anywhere.

and nah vinyl seats are soo 10 years ago there only leather in our cabs. well vinyl faced leather backed (same stuff they use on roller coaster seats) almost impossible to put a key through as the drunk like to do.

oh and the above vehicle would be a hiace

loll.. thanks for the info guys. been to japan. hard to find evo 1-3 stuff but hell of a lot of car parts of the later evos.

I'm heading to Malaysia on the 23rd of this month whats the name of this place with all the early parts. not looking for chrome tail lights but possibly cool parts like tarmac diff or something.

ninja edit:read the thread and you sahll find the answers you seek

it's more new parts man second hand stuff does exist and in abundance i just havn't gotten that deep into looking for it at the time i went.

the street/ area is in KL kuala lumpur (the capital city) and i've posted it earlier
