Phez Resigned As Club VR4 President

Hey Guys,

Just thought that i would make you guys aware that club vr4 president Phez has resigned as president of the club. Also the down time in the last few days was due to the fact that the Club VR4 database was moved to an american server.

Marty rang me today and put a proposal foward. They offered to sell me Club VR4 and its database for $500 (which is what it owes phez). That is the reason why he resigned aswell.

They want me to buy it bak because they all agreed i did a good job of keeping the place busy and growing.. Plus they wanted me to pay $500 for it.. which i think is kind of stupid. They said if i dont then agvr4 (meek) has offered to lol..

But obviously im running T4G now so im not sure what..

theres also the legality side of things.. club vr4 used the mitsubishi logo and ralliart logos on their merchandise without written consent from mitsubishi or ralliart. which means that if you were to 'buy' the club then you would be liable for legal action..

Wouldn't the legality issues be the responsibility of the individual who organised and authorised those items though?
You could always add a disclaimer into the deal stating that it wasn't the previous "owners" that committed any wrong doing.

Nopes, if your name is on the ownership or party of Club VR4 then you will be liable.. My name isnt anywhere on the club hence why i dont ahve to worry about anything but.. the next owner(s) will i think unless they can just start from scratch.

Peter (Phez) just called me to let me know whats happening. Peter resigned as of the monday that just passed. Marty (mrt) is now president of club vr4. Club VR4 has no funds in its bank account and owes Peter $500. Club VR4 will still run for another year, but they are trying to sell it to recoup what is owed to Peter, meaning that if someone with about $500 is willing to pay for it then it will belong to them.

Regarding the legal matters, Peter told me that Mitsubishi are currently drafting up a letter regarding useage of both mitsubishi and ralliart logo's. Im curious to see how this pans out as there is ZERO dollars in their bank account.

I find that hard to believe. Mismanagement must be rife. I'd purchase it if only to delete MRT's account in retaliation for what he did to me on there. Then again, it's not worth it. There's -nothing- on club vr4 that isn't on team4g or galantvr4.org.

I don't think it was either jon's or my intention to make this website (mainly jons) a technical bible, and clubvr4 failed dismally at that anyway.

I'm going to let it slide, even though the option is there to purchase it. It's quite tempting to put down $500 for it, but I really can't see it happening. The flood of applications will come, and with the flood we'll then have the power to put people back in the place they should be.

You have my solemn vow that even if they -all- move over here, team4g will not become sydney centric as cvr4 is. Nor will you get constant "goto xyz" posts. Maybe the DIY'ers are DIYers for a reason.

Hey Marty,

Made me think today when you gave me a call. Peter also called me later in the evening to let me know what has happened from his side.

I need to know what you want out of the club because Club VR4 as it stands isnt the club i wanted it to be. I wanted it to be:

- Free
- Informative
- Friendly
- Close knit
- Big member base
- A Peoples club

I think charging money to gather information that can be sourced from vfaq.com or galantvr4.org is wrong, a donation from members i think would be more welcomed. Even moving the database to mdwebhosting.com's server would be awesome, Team4G is run off them and its costing $700 for 2 years including domain name (prepaid) and basically accepting donations and sponsors paying for it. The speed of the website is up there with any site on the internet and we have never had a down time due to server error.. Thats just a thought for ya..

I also think that the club should be a people's club, so basically you have one person who overlooks 3-4 people who run the show.. ie president and then moderators and that is it..

If Chris was to say 'buy' the club i dont think it would go well with the members because it would be a conflict of interest and no offence there is alot of meek recommending on the forums and i think it would just self destruct. Also the fact that Anthony (Philcomrally) is a sponsor of the forums, that in my mind would be a clash and a no no.

I just thought id send you a pm to find out what you want out of the club and if they are the same as what i want then possibly we could strike up a compromise to successfully run CVR4. Ive ALWAYS had Club VR-4's best interest at heart when i was president and i still do.
