Guys,

May be a silly one, but are aftermarket injectors 'plug-n-play' assuming your ECU has adjustment for the new size/flowrate?

I've been reading that OEM is high impedance and aftermarket is low impedance requiring a resistance converter (?).

Anyway, my main question is can I buy any off-the-shelf aftermarket injectors to suit the 4g63 fuel rail and plug them straight in without rewiring/additional controls?

PS I have ECM Lite management.

OEM is low impedance, they use a resistor pack / ignitor.

So to answer part 2, there are heaps of plug and play injectors o the market.

SARD make some with Mitsi plugs.

Rightio then, yeah late models arent an option. What level mods Alex, you'd want to go as small as possible with enough headroom to assist tuning at idle and down low
I wouldn't let high or low impedance impact your decision (conversion is simple enough); id be looking for a decent set of injectors (reputable brand with proven track record).

With Ecmlink it wont matter how big you go.
I run FIC 2150's on mine and it idles and drives like stock down low. Fantastic control over them.
I was also running 1450 Bluemax with E85 but ran out of injector at just over 30psi on a PTE 50 trim turbo if that helps the decision at all Alex.

Lol, what's the next step up from them George? Rolls Royce turbo fan injectors!? They be good for 9-10 litres per minute.

Thanks guys, lol !

I'm opting for the 'tried-and-proven' injectors in the ECM wiki database - FIC or Bosch. Also Denso as it is a reputable brand, however initial investigation shows these are the most expensive!

One more question for the injector guru's:

Is it best to purchase a set of 4 injectors flow matched and data/graphs supplied, or would a similar result be attained if they were purchased individually (i.e. no graphs supplied) and flow matched on a test bench somewhere locally?

Yeh that's what Im going as well Dre. Getting them at a premium compared to your price but the $$ is going to someone who deserves it!
