PM Email Notification not Working

I used to get an immediate email notification when someone sends / replies to PM
This no longer happens and sometimes I get an email days after the PM is sent.
Its random and sometimes works and sometimes not.

I subscribe to this forum, and got an email notification right away. PM notifications should work as well as they are being sent the same way. I will look into an error log to see if there is a problem...

I've got the same problem. The emails do come just a few days later

It should come almost right away and in the two tests I run it did. Haven't found anything in the log files either. I will retest later today. Do you get thread notifications right away (if you subscribe) or is this delayed as well?

Still not working for me. I haven't subscribed to topics so dont know about that.
PM notifications are 100% not coming through.

I dont subscribe to topics either, i only get emails for PMs, except mine are working, they just see my email inbox a few days later. Doesnt bother me as i usually check the forum once a day and see anything anyway, was just tacking on that Jamo wasnt the only one with notification troubles

Don't have a solution yet for the 'delayed email' problem, but if you have a problem of not getting emails at all, check your spam folder. Emails are being sent.

Mine sometimes show up in email 3-4 days later and most times I dont even get an email.
Not in spam or any other folder, just not at all.

Hey Taz, if you still have that email can you PM me the message headers?

To view the headers in Yahoo mail:

- Open an email.
- Click More | select View Raw Message.
- The full header is at the beginning of the raw message.

This should tell where the delay is coming from.

Thanks, this is very helpful. It looks like the mail server, and not the forum is causing the delay. I opened a ticket with the hosting company, will keep you posted...
