power fc on a evo 8 mr

Sorry i'm new to evo's and i'm looking to import a 8 mr. been looking around and cant find if there is a power fc to suit. i know the 7 fits the 8 with a adapter but does it include the mr ?

you do not need a PFC or an aftermarket ecu on an evo. as the stock ecu is easily reflashable. the only reason i would go a PFC is if your local tuner does not know evos at all. but even then why waste 1k on a PFC when the stock ecu can do the same if not even better.

the wiring harness on an 8MR is different to that of the 7, i believe it is the same as the JDM8 (3plug compared to the 4 plus of E7)

yeah no one up here would even know what a evo was. Got a mate that tunes pfc just as a hobby and does everones cars up here and is the only way to tune a car up here really

Camo anyone that can tune, if they have the cable, and the software can tune the std ecu. Its quite similar to other after market ecu's, and much cheaper.

yeah i'd have to buy the software and the cord myself because i doubt anyone here would have one and my mate wouldn't either. :thumbsdown:

Still lower in cost than a pfc, cable from memory is about $120, and software was lasttime I checked a donation, but may have changed.
