Ive read the threads on priming oil after rebuilds but all ive done is take the oil cooler off and re-doe the lines.

Im wondering if i should do anything special about priming the oil back up. I was goin to try fill the lines and cooler with some oil before bolting it back up.

I always prime the oil up after doing an oil change ect by cranking it with "the plug on the fire wall" disconnected (cant remember its name) until the oil lite goes off.

Would just doing that be ok? If the lite doesn't go off then i can look at a more creative way of ding it.
I just done want a pocket of air in the cooler coming out after the engine is running and looked like it had pressure then run dry.

Sweet, ill just do what i normally do, cranking it until oil lights off then start it. Cheers.

Cars getting really close im getting pretty excited to drive it again.:w00t:

just prime up the oil filter when you put it on.When i rebuild my motors myself i usually pull the plugs out to crank it over.it cranks over faster then with no compression, also disconnect the crank angle sensor plug so it dosent give the signal for the fuel pump to run and flood the motor.if that fails then remove the oil pressure switch and crank it over so there is no back pressure on the pump,(warning a bit messy).

That's the one! Forgot its name before lol. Its a quick way of doing it, i also always unplug it when ive dropped to oil or doing anything that required a second or third check before starting the car back up.

Pulling the plugs out as well isn't a bad idea, cheers.
