Sorry I couldn't make it. Unfortunatly I had to work, thats the trouble of owning your own business, sometimes you just have to be there.

I do have some pics of mine as I'm going.

Car is getting there pretty quick now, just having major dramas finding somewhere to fit this turbo! F$#King BIG mother.

I have to slide it in from the gearbox side. I wont fit down between the radiator and head.

I'm up to making the exhaust Manifold (last bit) so the turbo is tring to find new home. It isn't real easy when your tring to fit something twice the size of what came out.

Which may influnce the design of manifold I build.

as for the 14 sec pass WTF man when mine was a stock 1.8 I ran a 13.5
If you can wait a bit I'll tell you what my new U-Bute Jim berry clutch is like.

Btw, yeah I had to chuck that purple one on because the wrinkle coating on my other hadn't dried by then.
I really thought my car would be faster than what it was especially with the addition of the LSD - 14.9 @ 100MPH (both runs).
I'm guessing it mostly comes down to the tyres and driver. I bet Dre has done the 1/4 mile a few times before, plus he had semi slicks on it when he achieved 13.7 sec.
I think I need to get a new EPROM with a higher rev limiter as well.
But first things first, I better do the timing belt, before anything else!
I had a great time fellas, can't wait for the next one.
Hey, did we end up finding the guy with the GTI?
Hope nothing too serious happened to his car?

I'll be back out as soon as I get a clutch,bov that doesn't leak and a gearbox that I can actually change into second without having to slow right down!

Troy I did spend about 1.5 seconds trying to get the bloody thing into second gear ( watch the video and listen to the super-duper fast shift! ) :twisted:

tim, i have my old stock bov if you want to modify that? i think you will have a clutch sorted before i get my galant going...

I just so happend to purchase a 20ton press just to do mine!

as far as the high mount turbo goes? I would like to close the bonnet and I dont think the cops would like the turbo hanging out!

I have found a suitable place now, and fab work has begun.

as soon as i pull my finger out I will post some pics.

Tim your MPH indicates you should be in the high to mid 12's but we all know there is a real world here somewhere ruining our fun!

O BTW buy the bearing kit from Meek! if you do the box! I also have lots of GOOD G-box bits (2 good assembled shafts)
 
a quick question jdm? why waste your time with 560 cc EVOI-3 is 510cc

why not just get a set of 800cc injector so future mods can be supported

I think I bought new sards for 400 including freight.

Thanks for the offer Craig but I am already running a modded stockie.

I'll pull the box out just as soon as I have taken my wife for a drive in it so she can compare the difference in acceleration between my 16g and 50 trim :)

the main thing is money atm, i got 560 as thats all i need atm moment and i'm sure that in the feauture when i'll need some bigger ones i'll just get a set.

the 560's where cheap and will get me going for a while:)
