Hello all, my name is Gerard. Im from Sydney, Australia. Live in the Hills District
I am a second year apprentice mechanic.
About 3 years ago i fell in love with the Proton Satria GTi's after seeing a family friend owned one, didn't know a thing about them, i fell in love with the sleek design and that it wasn't a car that you saw every where you looked.
Cut a long story short.....
I own a 2002 Proton Satria Gti.
Brought the car dead stock with 17" White G2 Racing wheels (starcorp diablo lookalikes)
Didn't have plans to do much to the car. My main concern was making it look good on a budget..obviously that didnt happen haha.
Have raced the car at WSID stock and ran a 16.1 (stripped rear seats and spare wheel)
Engine:
4G93P Engine (stock)
4-1 Hurricane Extractors
Magna flow High Flow Catalytic converter
2.25 Mandrel bent exhaust
Lukey Performance Muffler with 3 inch tip
(ALL DONE BY PERFORMANCE EXHAUST CENTRE - NORTH PARRAMATTA)
3" Intake with K&N Pod Filter
Suspension:
Yellow Speed Racing Height-Damper adjust Coilovers with front camber plate
Pedders control arms
Genuine Proton front sway bar
4 Point Front Ultra Racing strut bar
3 Point Rear Ultra Racing strut bar
(planning to get Ultra Racing rear sway bar)
Sound System:
Jvc Head Unit
6" Sony Xplode speakers
6x9 JL Audio speakers
Clarion Subwoofer
Appearance: (where all the work is)
Car is honestly slammed.
Sitting on 16x7 +35 Genuine Work Meister S1 sprayed Holden chlorophyll blue (kumho 215/40/R16)
Standard Satria Rear Tail lights (more red then the original GTi lights)
Smoked Front Headlights - (imported from malaysia)
6000k Response HID Kit
Sprayed Amber Indicators
Team Heko Slim LIne Weather Shield Visors
20% tint with front sun blackout strip
Genuine R3 Front Lip (imported from malaysia - funny story.... i started looking for the R3 lip before i started looking for the car)
Leather - Carbon Fibre look Hood bra with stitched R3 (imported from malaysia)
Universal Yakima Roof Racks
Mitsubishi Evolution VI Recaro's
Personalised Number Plates (FLY35T)
Honestly dont know what is next for the car like i said i didn't think i would do any of this! Hope you enjoyed reading and let me know what you think!
Thanks Gerard
