Hello everyone, I'm needing some info/opinions on some things. Before anyone flames me for not searching the place, I actually have, with no results that answer my questions. Briefly: CP pistons, Eagle rods, ported head (kept same shape just made the dimensions on intake side larger by 2mm all round, gasket matched etc) Cams are 264 intake, 272 exhaust. I'm pulling my hair out trying to match all the bits that I need i.e. turbo, injectors pump, manifolds. I'm going for water to air intercooler, so that is set. Regarding drivability I know it is all about compromise, so i'm cool with a later spool . So a larger turbo setup with lag and then satanic power at high rpm will be fine (most of my driving is 100kph zoned anyway so 2nd and 3rd gear pulls are going to a daily thing). I'm great at fabricating, porting and building all things automotive, and have ported the evo 3 manifold and TB. I feel like such a noob when it comes to working out turbo compressor maps, tuning etc. Here are the bits I've been looking at getting: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kinugawa-Turbocharger-3-Anti-Surge-DSM-Eclipse-EVO-1-3-VR4-TD06SL2-20G-7cm-Hsg-/271246116583?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f278746e7 and http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Injector-Dynamics-ID1000CC-4G63T-Evo-1-9-340lph-Pump-/270792894601?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f0c83a889 Really sorry if this has been covered a billion times, but I just want to work out what is worth it and what is not. I'm getting very frustrated.

Ive got a similar setup up on my vr4 ,im running the gt pumps td05 20g with the gt pumps high flowed exhaust manifold im seeing full boost at 3500rpm and it pulls all the way to 8 grand.
pretty hard pulling turbo , id go with any injector bigger then 560s im maxing mine out on 1.3 bar. Ive got walbro 255 pump and aeromotive fuel reg that are doing the job just fine.

Thats my 2 cents , as for ecu i wouldnt knows there is so many out there...

If you buy that turbo you will need to change your intake setup, your radiator setup, injectors and ecu.
Buy my turbo and you can use standard intake, 560 injectors and just get your ecu chipped or an ecm link.
It really depends on how much shit you want to change. My turbo has the same spool characteristics as Croket mentions.

Heya guys, I'm running a manual gearbox, eprom ecu which may work depending on how much I can get out of a tune( can get any other type if needed), open to any type of boost control, I'll be running an external wastegate (of course). I don't think we have an e85 equivalent in Aus unless I'm mistaken, I do live 3 blocks from an airfield though so can get avgas. Full boost @3500 sounds very well mannered. Is there anyone who can do a good tune in Qld that anyone knows about? I still have the standard evo 3 intake and TB ported though, might need to address that issue if need be. All other stuff is ok, I interior is all redone, bonnet and other bits have 3d carbon fibre wrap so the sleeper thing is out the window lol Thanks for the input guys, really appreciated, I'll keep you informed as to the progress.

You could post your ecu chip to meek..tell him what mods you have and he will write tge chip to suit.
No need for external gate or anymore work to intake mani or tb..depending on your final outcome/ goals.
You need to establish what you want the car to do and what your going to use it for.
If its a daily a Tdo520g with the supporting mods already mentioned is more than enough fun IMO

Have a look at some of the turbos from forced performance. Your doing a pretty good build there and as much as people rave on about the 20g I don't think it's half as good as what else is out there now. I had a 20g on mine and now run a 86hta and there isn't much differance in lag maybe a few hundred rpm but when it comes on its pulls a lot harder at 11psi then my 20g did at 21psi

SWEEEEET! I'll certainly check that out

Aha, just saw your other post Jamo, when I get all the bits legoed I'll send it off to meek, anyone else done this? What's it cost? From what I'm told the Eprom is not a bad ecu to work with. I come from old Weber/dellorto Times so the whole reprogramming myself is out lol

HAHAHAHAHA! Great read! Looks good, really want to keep a "quiet achiever" look AND I know it will fit. If it's still available I'll give it a good home :w00t: I have what I believe to be an SG exh. manifold, y'know the ones that have the "my first turbo" set with it (13t) Can this be ported to fit TD05 effectively? (I bloody hope so because I've cleaned the thing up with a die grinder and 120 paper)

All the good bits have been deleted...it was quite amusing last night.
What size is the outlet on your manifold that you mention above?
Its quite easy to port it out with a die grinder if it doesnt match the turbo..just takes a bit of time.
If not I also have a matching manifold to suit the turbo too.

Oh, that's a bummer I love keyboard gladiator fights LMAO :p Outlet size is 53.5ish mm which is the same size as the TB,....Hmmm  We have 100 octane at the Liberty servo in the bay BYBY5L, it seems that's the best we have up here from the pump.
