Quick release steering hub

Anyone track their cars and have installed a quick release hub?
Will make it easier to get in and out with the cage in.

I'm looking to install one in my e1, any advice on which products would fit is appreciated. Must be lightweight and easy to install.

The splash/rapfix seems to be popular, but it ain't cheap...

I have an ebay one that is similar design to that one, cost me $100 ish from memory.

The sparco ones always have too much play imo (im guessing the copies do too) so the ball or larger spline design ones are good

the stock evo momo runs the same bolt patern as sparco wheels so its easy to find one that will bolt in.

I have the stock original boss kit, then the quick release. then a sparco wheel

Unless you're a "big" man or your rollcage is a "jungle-gym" of bars I don't really like the idea of the quick release hubs. The idea of the steering wheel being able to come away from the column that easily just doesn't sit right with me!

Any links to the one you run DOUGMO? Is the later evo 9 wheel pattern the same as the early ones? They look similar with the air bag removed. Getting in and out of the 9 im doing atm is a 5min chin up work out , such a pain in the ass.

I cant find the exact one but it looks like this but has a bolt on plate instead of the weld on

Im pretty sure the later models had the same bolt pattern
