Can someone tell me the difference between a standard cc rad support and a gsr one cos i got quoted $600 for a gsr one, brand new and that seems a bit over the top

I used a Evo Rad suppurt on my GSR, I got a old 1/2 cut shell after it had been stripped for $100, was 2nd hand sure, but it did the job, panel beater just unpicked the rad support from the rest, had it sandblasted then fitted to my car, I'm sure it wouldnt have been $600 worth of work. He also unpicked the extra strut tower bracing sections and welded them onto my car. It also has the brackets for the genuine Evo front bar to bolt to near the headlights. I think the main difference between a standard CC one and a GSR one will be sections cutout for intercooler piping.

Thanks Richard, i didnt wanna go down that path but it seems that i might have to, or drill out the holes for the piping on a standard one

I've got a brand new genuine Mitsubishi CC Lancer radiator support panel (complete front section) with a few scuff marks from storing it in the garage but no damage. It's matt black as per from the factory. I've been saving it for a rainy day (figure of speech) and recently a ship beached itself and the town got flooded so a rainy day came and went and I still am waiting for a rainy day to use it (knock on wood) lol  PM me with an offer if you are interested. Thanks.

What intercooler are you running? I've got a standard CC coupe and have modified the rad support to take an EVO3 'cooler and plumbing. There's a blind hole on the driver side of the lower member of the rad. I used this to line up the second intercooler mount for the passenger side then drilled another hole and installed a nutsert. I did weld an EVO vertical brace with the stud mount for the top mount on the intercooler in place of the standard CC one so that I could bolt the intercooler on as per factory.
