Radiator mount and bushes

Has anyone had any issues with aftermarket radiators and using the std mount bushes?

The internal dia of the bush is like 11.5mm and the mount on the radiator is just under 10mm and feels like there is a lot of play.

Yes the std ones are 22 years old so would replacing them with new items help? I don't really feel like wrapping electrical tape around the mount on the radiator either.

They are supposed to have play in them due to the factory top tanks being plastic.

If you want them tight...turn bracket on angle and pull them forward using only one of the bolt holes.

With rock its setup i would he scared of a heating the rad up and b the naifold contacting it on a trottle letoff condition

Same as I like my women...

Not a lot of room in these bays tho.. And was the slimmest radiator off memory.. Also have kick ass fans, and the car doesn't see city traffic.. Only weekends, and cruises..

Have used it as a daily, and never had any issues with it overheating though.. However, I do believe the heat has been cooking my alternator, so have a new one lined up, and will see if I can fab up a heatshield for this one..
