any one interested in buying?

years ago Bob Riley said these give a strong Bias to the rear in torque split.

Unfortuantly these dont ajust torque split to either the front or rear.

However they do ajust how the front and rear lock togeather, this means that there is less slip between the speed of the front and rear wheels.

This VCU was designed for GroupN gravel rally cars that couldnt not run the active diffs that the Group A Evo 1-3's had.

Its perfect for gravel rallying, and probbaly good for the drags (however a locked c/diff would be better for that appplication).. for street/track etc probbaly doesnt change much, unless your a traffic light warrior, then it would be very usefull as it would reduce slip between front and rear when launching.. They do promote a little more understeer off throttle compared to a stock VCU, as there is less slip between front and rear, also means that handbrake turns are close to impossible with the standard handbrake, as they just cant bite enough to overcome the tighness of the VCU.

they retail at about $1000 from Ralliart, but can get tired once used, back in the day the factory backed teams would repace them every rally.

Might be best advertised over at bmsc.com.au or somewhere like that... do you know how many kms its done, (what car its come out of ) and have you checked the preload?

cheers

I havent checked this one for preload....but believe it to be in good nick.

regards the understeer, I didnt find it to be an issue when I used one some years back. I found it to improve engine braking effect. And...as you said it provides firmer control of the front to rear slip thus I found that made the rear want to step out. when braking for a corner especially on gravel however the effect was very noticeable under heavy braking on tarmac as well

Overall I rated it as a good upgrade abck then. I now have an adelia coupling so this is surplus.

regards the $1000 price tag at ralliart........well I actually can get my hands on five brand new ones and would sell them for 600 each
