This was originally posted on e'oz just posting on here in case someone knows the owner of the car

got a tip off last week regarding a WHITE EVO VI that had been stolen & dumped in Guildford...

we rushed down hoping to find leos stolen VI but turned out it wasnt his...

but here's some pic's that i took on the day as some might recognise it or might of owned it...

Sad day when any ones car gets stolen, so be careful where you park, insurance is updated,
and you've got good anti theft measures in place alarms, immobilisers, club locks,
hell even quick release steering wheels are making more sense by the minute.

it doesnt matter how much "protection" you have. If a thief wants it.. its going to go regardless.

But it is a shame when your car does get pinched and its the worst feeling in the world going out and there is nothing to go out to...

Hopefully someone gets there car back..

it could be much worse, at least it's not too hard to fix it, and at least the car exists, not like some that get burned.

but its a shame to waist such a nice evo

If that was my car, I wouldn't want to be fixed, and given back to me- i'd rather have it burned, so insurance write it off, so I can get paid out- and get a 9!! 8)

LOL @ dre

I can see it now.. your car would get stolen. they find it.. show you the car, you say, nah that aint mine.. They point out its got your rego plates and vin matches.. nah it still aint mine. Mine wasn't broken..

Its true! After you drive your stolen and recovered car after it happened, its just not the same again, and you quickly try and flog it off.

happened to me years ago and the car was a total shitter,
and i was still devistated and sold it asap

yeah I dont think i would want my car back if it was stolen. You would feel violated, its like when my wifes car was broken into. They stole the stereo. It just felt strange being in the car knowing someone had invaded your personal space.

as per my previous post. you can take what ever measures you want.

if someone wants your car.. kill switch, alarm, wheel clamps etc will not stop them.

These are only deterrants and not guarantee to safe guarding your car.

^^^yeah true they can just tow it if they really want it
but its gotta be a car they must really want to go that measure

its still worth putting immobilisers and kill switches which arent standard items as it will assist in stopping people from taking your car from an underground car park i.e. cant take it quick and easy , AND cant get a tow truck in there id think, and will also help stop theives who only work on foot or junkie joy rider theives

look at a kill switch for example. its not electronic which can be overriden, so if you put it in-between your fuel pump wiring for example, if they cant find that switch, their only options are to a) IF they actually know its the fuel pump which is being cut off from running, they can run new wiring (power source from battery and ground etc) to the fuel pump to get it kicking, or b) tow the car

think of all the stolen posts in forums including nissansilvia - the majority of peoples cars which were stolen were from car parks or driveways who end up admitting they had no type of security on the vehicle = easy quick on-foot theif job

the ultimate would be a tracker type device , that way you'll know where the car has ended up , and you can get the appropriate authorities OR baseball bat + plenty of mates to take care of the issue accordingly.

I dont get it. Out of all the white evo 6 cars in nsw, one was stolen justreently and this white evo isnt Leos, like how could 2 same evos have same wheels.

Or do all evo 6's come with black rims.

well i got my civic stolen one friday from brisbane and police found the car at the gold coast on sunday and gues what???

car was in one piece and on top of that they filled up my tank:)

but still 5000 worth of stereo gone:(

kill switch!
The brainiac's above missed this point ;) completely

try stealing a car and driving off when you cant start it ..
I suppose all car thieves run around in flat bed's or tow trucks

Its very rare for cars to be stolen when they cannot start them hint hint.
