Hi all,
I find myself in the fortunate position of having both a visc and mechanical EVO I and II diffs. I have recently purchased two halfcuts with rear ends, the EVO I when disassembled had a viscous diff and the evo II had a mechanical. the evo II diff had alittle sticker under some black paint, when I scratched that paint away it says "specified LSD oil". the EVO I when taken apart surprised me with an odd looking drive shaft on the one side, right I think, it has two splines and there are three splines in total that can be seen in the diff.
so one is going in the car. Im leaning towards the mechanical is this a good choice of the two.
do the viscous one have any problems and is it hard` to get that cv with the extension?
