Very simple.

im rebuilding some rear trailing arms with new bearings and bush since this will finish my 5 stud conversion. Currently on the car i actually have 1.5-2mm toe in. Obiviously there no adjustment but depending on where you locate your bush ie how far you press it in will determine toe. Is there an exact measurement for which is should be sticking out of the trailing arm on either side or what?

On a lancer?

You adjust the toe with the front little arm that goes from the body to the middle of the trailing arm.

But yes you can put the bus h in a slightly different spot

lol i know you can but im just wondering how much the bush's stick out for 0 toe. cause its abit of pain to set up then check then remove it all again

I cant see how you could guess it mate, its not a thing you can transfer from car to car, but I would say only a tiny bit as
the length of the arm will amplify it. are the old bushes still in?

And out of interest what setting are you going for? and have you checked how much it varies with the toe arm adjustment?

The old front bushes were not in the trailing arm . So I pressed the bush in and I just made it an even amount of bush either side . Will see what I get

Im pretty sure it's roughly even on each side of the bush from the outer edge of the arm its self.

You can always cut down say 5mm off one side of the bush and shim it either side, and adjust it from the front of the trailing arm.
Saves playing around with that stupid toe arm set up.

thats what i have done with my hard race front trailing arm bushes (as i dont run toe arms anymore), it does my fucking head in lol..... but yes it works to get a rough setup and the fine tune with the toe arms (or lower arms in my case)
