ive rebuilt my EVO 1 twice now both have cost me between 6 and 7k.
The first time i replaced my clutch while the motor was out. and the valves and stuff.
The second time because they never fixed the problem the first time was a cast sleeve in one cylinder and the rest just replaced internals.
What was the exact cause to make you rebuild it?
make sure you find it and i strongly recommend a dyno tune after just to make sure that everything is sweet. I regret not getting it done straight away, i was waiting till i ran the motor in but it never got the chance and melted a piston to the block...
All good now though and am putting 15k under the bonnet when i get back.
