Help Support 4GTuner:

I had Garry Blackman and Sons in Richmond do my interior in my previous ride. He's not too bad. You should give him a call. A bit exxy though.

GSRSOL are you still lookin into gettings your seats re-trimmed?
I just went to garry blackmans and he said its $400-$500 for the whole rear seat. That is just labour though!

ouch!

im keen on getting a rear seat re-trimmed,

group buy??

I got this work done to my interior recently of the coupe which includes GSR/EVO rear seat:

* GSR rear split fold seat fully retrimmed in new black fabric with dove grey suede inserts - and I also got them to also install a couple of cup holders inside the fold down armrest
* The bottom part of the rear seat is from an EVO 1 - it also has been retrimmed in matching new black fabric and dove grey suede inserts with a special raised centre part bewteen the legs to match the design of my front seats
* The rear seat side sections were also retrimmed in matching black fabric
* My rear trims were recovered in new black vinyl like material as close matching to the standard black dash etc of the EVO 1-3 material. They also had the suede insert put into them
* My front door trims are already black and I had the suede insert put into them as well
* My Cobra front racing seats had the cushioning repaired, and the black fabric was good so we only had the suede insert put into both seats as well.

All up it only cost me $989 from a place here in Newcastle so I am happy with the price and result :D - mind you he's had them for 6 weeks but I told him to take his time as I am not driving my car around :D Another place quoted me $2800 for exactly the same work using exactly the same brand of material as I was flipping through the fabric charts at both places

The pale grey looks white in the pics but you get the idea. The material hasnt settled yet until the seats are sat in and stretched to shape. As a complete interior in the car it should look ok for the price :)

id still like to get my recaros redone.............

back seat is coming out, along with most other interior crap. 8)

My cousin (4th year trimmer apprentice) is currently doing his gsr. He's going to make up templates for the door cards, front seats and rear seats so he can just cut them up to whatever colour you want. He just did his dash in red leather but i haven't seen it yet.

He's also looking for aus spec rear split fold seats as he has a jap spec gsr and they don't split fold like he wants.

Recaro factory is in Bignell RD Moorabbin, It's No 10. the phone number is: (03) 9555 7788, They have website also: http://www.idealseat.com.au/ You can't get the fabric to match some of the early Evo seats so you would have to pick something else I guess. But last time I went there the guy was friendly and helpful, I gues you would be up for a fair bit of coin to get anything substantial done tho..
