hey i have an oil leak down that side of the engine somewhere, I am wanting to take the timing belt cover off to see if any oil is in there.

what i want to know is how do i get to the bolt behind the round thing on the right, i presume its an air conditioner thing? can i remove it or will it degas it?

or is there a certain way to get the mount out?

Undo the clamp ang gently raise it. You will need pay attention to the lines as you do it as they will bend a little ..... So release them from the clips that hold them to the guard and it will spread the bend out enough for it not to kink. This has worked for me once. The others times I've just had the ax gegassed as it can get in the way still

hey thanks for the reply Brian, your suggestion worked, I was able to move it enough to get in there and get it off

now i got the timing belt cover off and there is oil on the engine wall at the back, is the most common spot for it to get in there from the rocker cover gasket or could it be from somewhere else in there?

There is also oil leaking from the circled part in the picture, what could this be? is it likely to be the oil in the timing belt cover leaking though or is it something else

Cam seals +1

If it turns out to be the crankseal and it has a huge groove in it that a new seal wont fix the leak, i have a couple of speedy sleeves to give your crank a new flat surface for the seal to run on.
They bang straight on the crank while it is installed
