can anyone who has removed this completely advise me
about the loom and relays etc...

does it all just unplug from the loom as a seperate part?

or will i have to cut those bits out of the loom?

i already have the heater box, blower and evaperator removed,

the dash loom is out too but i would like to strip it before puting all back in the car

It's not a separate loom so if you were gonna do it you'd have to pick through it all. You'ld still want to keep all the fan boxes so you have a demister and heater core etc so I'd save myself the hassle of picking it all to bits and buy an RS EVO or Auspec GSR dash loom and plug it all in - too easy  (then sell the EVO loom you currently have for some $$ back). This wont effect your mirrors and door looms as I know you've gotten rid of your power windows and mirrors for manual ones :)

Forget about the GL's they are carby and are wired up differently for your dash like no tacho, different wiring for the window wiper stalk etc.

I always found that GSR/EVO/MIVEC engine + engine loom + ECU + a SOHC GLXi dash loom all works but the tacho wont work regardless if you use a GSR/EVO/MIVEC cluster or GLXi SOHC cluster.

And on the other foot, guys using GSR/EVO/MIVEC clusters in SOHC applications get a tacho signal at only half of what it should be due to cluster wanting to read the twin coil signal but only receiving the SOHC signal.

There's a few other small differences depending on year models but I generally convert dash looms to a GSR/EVO/MIVEC with all twin coil engine conversions I do so everything works. So whether its a VR4, EVO, GSR or Proton 4G93P conversion I stick to twin coil wiring looms for the engine loom and dash loom. Choice depends on whether the person wants normal aircon/heater controls or the climate control setup, also whether they want normal power mirrors or EVO fold away mirrors, or power windows or non power windows

To give you an idea of what can mix and match, I recently converted my Mrs Pink CC sedan with a 2003 Proton Satria GTi engine (only done 25,000kms and like new :D ), removed the Bosche Throttle body and crank angle sensor and replaced it with a GSR CAS and a Proton M21 throttle body, installed the GTi engine loom, 1998 GTi chipped ECU (non SIEMENS ECU), GSR interior loom, EVO door looms with power windows (that I bought from you), removed the EVO fold away mirror wiring from the door looms and replaced it with normal GLXi power window wiring and it all works together 100% with an EVO 180kmh cluster 8) (with only minor wiring needed with adding in extra wires to plugs or fusible link in fuse box for the power windows or swapping wires around)

you will also loose the outside air temp sensor as well
If you do cur plugs off ect its gonna be the biggest pain in the a$$ to wire up who ever buys it
I'd go Robs method above then sell the loom compleate and in working order ;)

BLASTHEMY!!! Dont ruin a perfectly good EVO interior loom by cutting out the climate control wiring and bits you dont need. Go EVO RS or AU GSR and sell the EVO dash loom to someone who really wants it. Who knows, there might even be people on here willing to swap you for it with a cash adjustment. i.e. Your EVO dash loom + climate control unit and motors for someone with a GSR dash loom + manual controls + cash adjustment
