Hey all,

It there a trick in removing the wheel bearing.
It for my '95 Chariot/Nimbus/RVR 4G63 4WD setup

Do the whole hub assembly needs to be removed from the car and the hub pressed out ?

I'm using a slide hammer to pull the hub out but it do not seems to move. :fuuuuu:

Help

you have to remove the whole hub from the car, pull the brakes off, remove the rear seal. remove the circlip and use a press to push one side out. remove the seal on the other side, undo circlip again and press out. the use press to pullbearings off the stub axle, then reinstall in same way after greasing bearings and all. or take it somewhere.

take to your local ABS or similar mate. If you've removed the hub from the car they can press the bearings in for about $60 (left and right hubs) + price of bearings.

I done mine had to spin up a tool on the laith etc piss around pressing it out proberly the worst set up as far as removeing and replacing ive ever seen. I would definatly pay someone to do it unless you have access to a good work shop etc.

its not just the press, its having a decent range of things to rig the hub onto, and then something of the right size to press it out. a good range of impact sockets work well for press tools.
