I have an absolutely bent and broken needle roller bearing that is used for the handbrake actuator. I'm obviously needing to replace it, and as such need to remove it.

In a failed attempt only the needles came out, leaving the outer bearing case behind inside.

What is the best way to remove this bearing?

I am needing it in as much of one piece as possible, so to get measurements off to get a new bearing. Or if some one knows the exact bearing I need that would also be great.

What bearing are you referring to Richard? I'm trying to visualise it but am having trouble.

Isn't the handbrake setup in the CC and CEs just the cables running from the handbrake lever to the calipers?

Ah.

IMO you'd be better off getting another caliper and just forget about fixing a busted bearing. Don't stuff around with your brakes.

Good news everyone. The bearing is removed.

Now to wander off and purchase a replacement bearing.
