Anyone know an easy way to remove paint of an intercooler?

It's a pwr unit and I want to remover the painted on logo that stands out like nothing else, without damaging the polished finish.

I ws thinking a light paint stripper perhaps, what have others used?

it's on both sides...

Painting it is the option i was hoping to avoid, i like the shinny look :D

I would paint it, its easy and wont hert it at all, but you might have to do the whole core and leave the end tanks

pretty much what ever you use will take the shine off. A lot of paint strippers are caustic based and will attack the aluminium. That is however the least of the problem, the real issue is what the caustic will do to the solder paste which is used to bond the fin to the tube. Errosion of this paste will cause a great drop in the efficiency of the cooler.
