removing rear hubs

Broke a stud eh? Yeah, you need to unbolt the arms and then get the hubs pressed out, replace the stud, then pressed back in again.

The hub has to come out..either slide hammer it off or use a puller..never done a gsr..but the VR4 had a 3 bolt cup where the driveshaft bolted on the back and i had to undo a nut on the back and pull the hub outward..not sure if a gsr has a nut on the back...something would retain it though..it needs to be pulled out though.

Actually looking at it..that stud just looks threarded in..are they pressed from behind or just threaded in to a blind hole..if theyre threaded in ..put vice grips on it and undo it..or worse case drill it out..if theyre presed from behinfd then youll have to get the hub off to get at the back of it..like i said..something in behinfd the hub like a nut or circlip will retain it...with that off it will pull directly out..and tap firmly back in.

the abs must come off to remove the stud, as it is pressed in from behind. either way the hub has to come off, as this hub is having a stud replaced, plus i have to remove another 2 for my stud conversion.

its a crap of a job...

i got rid of my abs ring and abs so i could change the studs with the hubs still on the car (plus for weight reduction  )
