hey guys..
was talking to my cousin and found out its pretty $$ to get my spoiler removed and holes covered up so i was wondering if it would be better if i got a cc lancer boot with no spoiler thus no holes and just respray that? any ideas? which way should i go? thanks..

Well you have an aftermarket paint job so it'll be harder for you to remove the spoiler and not show any difference in colour or holes.

I've taken mine off and with some hard scrubbing and some vinyl patches, you wouldnt even notice there was a spoiler there in the first place.

Because there'll be a large hole from the centre of your spoiler, the only proper way to get it done is to get a plate welded onto the inside of your boot, to cover the hole. This might be more of a fuckaround to do than to respray a shittier model boot lid- but then again, that lower spec model will have a different tail light assembly, so theres another thing to look out for.

hope this makes sense

i thought the tail light assembly was the same?.. only diff would be the reflectors which i could take off my bonnet and exchange them with the black covers on the boot?

has anyone had there spoiler removed and had a plate welded on? havent really got a proper quote from anyone as of yet..

Do those plain bootlids have spots for the reflectors though? Perhaps they do, i'm not 100% sure.

There's still the issue of matching the colour of your paint, thats not going to be an easy job, unless you take it to the person who painted it in the first place?

yes they do, but youll have to change over the locks.

if i were you id try and find a gli/glxi bootlid with no spoiler holes, and get that sprayed to match your car, that way youll still have the original boot with the spoiler and leds so that you can swap and change depending on what you feel like.

yeah i'll look around for one..

nooooo ur car looks good with a spoiler.
And Dres' would like awesomely spectacular if only it had a spoiler.

I believe Dre's VR4 is the best looking sedan i have seen without a wing
I dont really like a car wingless, but Dre's car....there is just something about it!

the reason you likes dres car DESPITE its lack of wing, is coz its class. You have to say that the no wing doesn't do anything for it. At best it doesn't detract from it.

No you dont. No wing simplifies it. Cleans the whole look of the car. Less add-ons the better.........
