what are you meant to do withthe power steering cooler line that runs in front of the intercooler when you install a bigger cooler?

do you run new lines and install an oil cooler?

Should fit in front of the radiator and behind the intercooler. You may need to slightly angle it differently and mount the loop in another location or cable tie it

it would be better and more efficient if it was in some fresh air.

or you could use a magna trans cooler or something like that

and mount it off to one side

..

Just use a bit of muscle and bend it behind the rad lock support. You can undo the support then just coax it into position. Piss easy.
Temp difference wouldn't be noticeable.

noticable on the street?

everytime i look at a skyline that just came off the track, the power steering fluid has always been boiling

i dont want that to happen to mine

..

don't forget that it's only a very average cooler to start with, moving it will make bugger all difference.
why not cut the pipes and fit a decent cooler in somewhere.?
if your gonna be doing hot laps, the stockie really isn't up to the task anyway.

would i just use the same kind as an engine oil cooler?

It worked for the rally cars didnt it?

Yeah Tharaka you could make up something for the power steering similar to an oil cooler setup with -10an fittings and hoses. If you can find a -8AN cooler then that would be more ideal as you get more sharper bends in the hose which you may need coming from the reservoir.

I s'pose it depends if he's planning on changing the fluid after every hot squirt.?, like the rally boys do.

the auto trans cooler from a magna can be found at most wreckers for very cheap! And they are identical to the oil cooler that comes std on Jspec VR4s

so do i just cut the lines and join them up to the trans cooler?

or do i have to run all new lines for it?

if i do that, do i also have to bleed the power steering fluid?

im thinking this is a job i should just let someone else do
