Hello guys,

Due to the age of the car i want to replace all of the carpet in the GSR to freshen things up before as a part of the freshening up build.

Rang one carpet place and get this, if its a non GSR CC sedan then its around $250 for the whole car, however for a GSR its $450 + as it needs to be custom made blah blah blah.

Anyone has some light to shine upon this? Would a Wira carpet fit or is there any other way around paying double simply because its a GSR ?

Dunno why it would need to be custom made... The CC floorpans are all the same..Sounds like you spoke to a complete FUCKWIT who knows fuck all.

The carpet is available already moulded to suit for under $200.
There's a topic on here about this somewhere.

Knox are on ebay as well.
Only annoying thing about all aftermarket carpets is that they will be two piece. You will not see the join, it will be hidden under the front seats.
Only thing to note is all aftermarket carpets will not have any holes for any bolts etc.
Either some detailed work with a stanley knife, or you can get an old (or new) soldering iron and create the holes. I say old as you will burn the crap out it and most likely throw the iron out afterwards.

The reason it went up is you went from a car in their data base and added the dirty word gsr to it. To date I have not found any local retailer to have gsr parts on hand or in their catalogues. So I generally go in pre prepared with the part I want from another lore common car
