Hey guys,

Looks like my water pump is on the way out, has not been overheating but is leaking coolant out that side of the engine, a couple of drips every 10 seconds. So I am going to have it replaced.... bit of a bummer, but such is life. I have done some reading and will replace the other belts(including cam belt) at the same time. Not sure how much it will cost, but if there is change from 2k, what would you suggest I also do?

I am not looking for wild power or anything like that, just some nice upgrades.

EDIT: This is in an Evo 3.

Thanks in advance.

I really don't think you should have to be spending over $1k for a water pump and a change of belts

Yeah but I thought if all the belts and such were coming off, is there anything else that should be looked at or, upgraded

EDIT: RA23 project car.... nice I just sold my TA23 with a 3SGE in it.

Have a look at the crank and camshaft seals - if they're leaking replace those too.

yea those two, i had to get it done twice. After first 5000kms, it did it again (wasnt dripping, could just smell burning). Make sure you get geniune mitsubishi seals. I still think mine still isnt right come to think of it. >:

Where can I get these seals from? Meek seems to have most of the other stuff... just cant find the correct seals, am I going blind?

ring meek or get them from mits

also do idler bearings ac ps & alt belts front crank seal

balance shaft belt

Well had my mechanic do it for me, all belts + water pump and tensioner = 900 bucks.

Well worth it for peace of mind.
