rim colour suggestions?

I bought desertfox's rims for sale and i wanna spray them a diffrent colour just stuck on what colour to make them. I dont mind orange rims but not sure this style will suite so maybe black? id really aprraciate suggestions and feed back.

What wheels do you currently have? A lot of the time it's better to buy second hand wheels and they will come with good tyres. I have a set of black 15's I'm selling with heaps of tread on the tyres still

I'm not saying it coz I'm biased and selling. Ha ha. But most of the times I've just bought new wheels. I think I've only bought new tires once and owned about 6 pairs of wheels

What rubber and rims are you currently running? .. I've got Hercules Raptis in a 205/40 17 that I got from a Bridgestone Tyre Centre. They were $100 each!!.. Made in USA by Cooper Tyres. So Far I rate these tyres, and living in Nth Qld they have to be good in the wet. As yet they havent been tested in a torential downpour but normal rainy conditions no problems. During the dry they have great grip with very little noise. They are a directional tyre but not a directional pattern, ( have an inside and outside) ..

Before I purchased them I did some research and couldnt find a lot info just generic stuff so I went for it and safe to say Im happy with them and at $400 a set of 4..thats about what you pay for 1xBridgestone RE ... etc ..

im not sure what rubber is on tyres have to look but the rims are lenso concept 5 style and ive looked on gumtree and ebay but havent found a set of rims i really like.

your tyres are called asymmetrical,and yeah b/s RE are priced well for common size like 235/45/17s but others damn i sold a guy 1 and it cost us $550 to get it in!!


with tyres you do in many ways get what you pay for, i have 15" rims and on them ive got goodyear eagle f1 directional 5s on the front of my lancer (as its fwd ive got the best grip in the front) and some cheap blue streak directional on the rear (195/50/15) cheaper common size , going into a 205 makes you have less option.

the difference between the front and rear is when the road is wet i can drift my car with out the hand brake as my front as premium tyres compared the the rear entry level tyres.

best bet is get some cheap rims that you like and spend the money on decent tyres i mean its the only thing keeping you the way you want to go, explain to the tyre guys what you want they would be able to offer you what you want at price of course but if you cheap awesomely grippy in the rain and dry, with low road noise they wont be cheap if you get what i mean.

if you just want run of the mill tyre to get to a-b then get what ever, if you push your car a bit then step up to premium tyres.

Thanks for the info i honestly have no clue when it comes to tyres this might just save me from being ripped off by most of the gready people in liverpool.
