On the CC's, there doesnt appear to be much that can actually be rolled on the front guards, though ive seen people do it, i spoke to a proper guard rolling service, and they said they can do it, just wondering how anyone has gone when rolling the front CC guards, as there really dont look to be much of a lip there to work with...

Jamie.

i didnt feel the need to do the front on mine.
only the rear
its a little harder because its not as secure as the rear wheel arch.

Just an update for anyone interested, this can be done, if the right process and equipment is used.

Precision guard rolling did mine, hes done ferraris and all sorts, hes very good..it seems its all about feel and pressure with different angles, i wouldnt attempt it...it takes a bit of knack.
Word of advice, if you roll front guards that are alloy, be carefull, any one want more info on this just ask, theres a few things you gotta watch for!

what did he charge you if you dont mind me asking

$240..and worth paying the right guy to do it let me tell you! he came to me as well for that price

You should have seen the talks i had with some of the shops i had about rolling the guards...."well just cut that out and rip that away, then we will just grind that away! "It will be easier just to grind it back"...
Then when i asked what would happen when the spotwelds unpicked, it was a "Nah, they wont do that, it wont be a problem"

thats not too bad price.
At least you can be confident the job was done right.
Howcome you did the fronts anyway? were u scrubbing? Has the problem gone now?

Needed clearance for when the wheels were stood up from the 3 degrees camber i had. Its at 1 degree now, the offset of the wheels is a little too far out, the tabs where the guard liner bolts in were the problem, its all good now..i contacted guard to tyre in a driveway the other day....but with the roller, all that was straightened out.

Sydney Guard rolling service charge 80 per wheel arch and his work is A+++ he's mobile and thats all he does for a living his previous work include a RR Lambo's Porshe's ect as well as shit box gemi's with over sized chrome bling lol
Had my rears done and took around 35 minutes per wheel arch looks and feels like it come off the factory line like that.

No paint chipping or flaking either.

Thats exactly what you want hey, mine turned out the same, a nice even lip thats hard to even pick not being factory, the guy i got also does new cars out of the Mazda factory.

If you just want to roll the inner lip up, DIY with a hammer and a block of wood - warm the paint first with a heat gun so it doesn't crack.

If you need more flare (ie: you want to pull the guard out) use a baseball bat and an assiatant, again warm the paint first.

Ain't hard at all, just take your time and it'll come out fine.

$360 for all four corners is insane!

Call "Low Down Guard Rolling" on 0438 892 344, he does a really good job and will drive out to you.

I used him to roll the rear wheel guards on the Coupe and he took his time with the whole job - real nice guy too and likes cars, so he understands that he's working on somebody's pride n joy.
