rumours of a new track

ok i was at thhe wrxclub monthly meeting with a friend as he is a member

and they have been talking about a new track opening up in the future in the S.E suburbs, Pakenham to be exact.

Some person who supposedly owns a massive land out that way has offered it up to make a new circuit track, drag strip, skid pan and motorkhana track.

If this goes ahead i think it will be awesome...

Just wondering if anyone else has heard about it and maybe wants to shed some light.

Well Sandown is awesome becasue its nesteled in the suburbs but we'll never get another track like that again, they will always be out in the regional areas.

well supposedly its pretty much approved, well that is what i have heard coming from one of the committee members of the wrx club

would be good if calder park was made more acessable...will deff be awesome for peeps down that way rather than the long drive up to calder but would be great if calder was utilized more

I agree - Sandown is much more accessible than Winton or PI, but it's also limited in what it can host by the whinging crybaby residents who bitch and complain about noise. Driver Dynamics were doing Friday night sessions which were awesome and sure enough - they got canned after 3x weeks because of the "excessive" noise. :thumbsdown:

stupid thing is the people who whinge are probably the ones that moved in there knowing fine well that its next to a race track and there would be noise...

We are close to being done, by the time dre pulls his finger out we all will be flying around LoL
