Hi guys, i'm currently upgrading my existing inter'heater' top mount to a front mount intercooler. I have the intercooler here ready to rock n roll but just need the piping. Preferably i'd like to cut my own 3" aluminum piping to suit using sourced pre-bent pipes off ebay. I was quoted $600 just for the pipes and welding without any installation. To me this seems rather steep. Are there any places in Brisvegas that you could recommend?

This guy seems quite decent for the price. You even have the option of customising your package to your liking. 3" PIPING - Ebay
What are your thoughts?

Cheers

3" piping for a front mount is a tad big,

id suggest sticking to around 2.5"....

2" hot side and 2.5" cold side seems to be a very common upgrade and seem to do the trick, with only minor increase of lag....

I wouldn't go any bigger than 2.5" Chris.

I have 2.5" on the hot side and the cold side and I have next to no increase of lag :D

Give me a buzz tonight around 8:30 if your not working.

I've been looking to Front Mount my Top Mount ( SSG with bullbar. ) I'm keen on leaving the bullbar on, which if you have a look inside the bumper, there's the reo bar that's in the way.

After having a good stare at it this morning, I'm thinking the shortest possible track into the bumper would be by removing the water sprayer bottles for the windscreen and relocating them, and then should be able to get 2" pipes straight through the gap between the headlight and the radiator. I think this wouldn't add much more lag, especially considering the outlet of the turbo is 2", the intercooler in/out is 2", but the intake mani is 2.5, which i can either use the factory rubber, or just go a silicon adaptor.

If I don't use my TMIC, I'll go for a XR6 intercooler ( although I think my factory 'cooler is bigger ), as they are both same side entry.

I must second 2.5" tube suggestion. People have made 600-800hp on those pipes. I had no problems making custom 2.5" pipes for my van, I used 1G DSM intercooler.
