Im sure you can afford $10-$20 for CV boots and put them on yourself....or the place to just do it....

u c if i do that my girlfriend will think i gave her dodgy car so i will do it later so it'll look like it just happen

ps she's very picky

So what would happen if while changing the boots yourself you found the CV casing was cracked and the shaft could release while she was driving, the shaft might spin out of the cup come around and tare a hole in the sump, oil could blow back onto the hot exhaust, which could catch fire and burnt the car to the ground. Killing your girlfriend and her pet Puppy scruffy.
You spend $10 got your hands dirty saved your girlfriend life and became the hero and saved the environment. (burning cars are very toxic)

The other option you could save $10 bucks use the money to hire out a DVD say "Final Destination" and relax while that deadly piece of machanical menace is driven buy your girlfriend down the road to pick up some more Beer and Pizza.

I like Puppys ... make her leave Scruffy at home.

gold

hondas ... you do have to watch them as they use 3 separate squareish pads in the joint not rollers, so you just have to make sure they go back in the same way and also you don't loose them.

dont pull on the shaft to remove it from the box, pop it from the box via the cup at the gear box.

other than that they are pretty east to do!

there are new ones now that you heat up in the microwave and stretch them ove a cone and the popon with out removal of all the joint from the shaft.

O and dont undo the stub axel bolts to the strutleg just do the bottom ball joint (and tierod if necessary) also the main shaft

when you start writing it down it starts to sound complicated
