S90 throttle bodies

Hey guys im curious to know is anyone on here running one of these throttle bodies ? If so do they seem to work fairly well or is there a better throttle body that people are using and recomend to use ? Need a throttle with a 70mm inlet .
 
yeah mikey or frankie is using one as far as i know they swear by it. make sure you get on that allows for the stock tps and fiav to be used
 
I have 1 but havnt used it yet, so does my brother but hasn't used it either lol

But I can say its ALOT better quality than most of the other aftermarket ones I've seen, spring back is awesome
 
Quality of the S90 is excellent. Ive just put one on my engine and will have it up and running within the month.
Im not using the idle stepper setup on it though as I have made a block off plate and running Haltech aftermarket programmable idle control instead.
I'll tell you this now... the price of these S90's are a steal!!
I paid over $300 for a different brand some time ago that is shithouse in comparison to the S90. :)
 
And hopefully i'll have my car done within the month too, im using the stepper motor though, i have a spare EGR block off plate if anyone is needing 1
 
I may be interested in that as iam running a haltech also pm me what you are wanting for it .
And thanks guys i wasnt sure what to use but i think i will get one of those thanks heaps .
 
Im running a Haltech also, but dont want to use the aftermarket idle control unit, works fine with the OEM unit
 
Do we have to bore the inlet of the intake to 70mm in order to have better performance? or it'll be okay to just plug and play???
 
I've got one. Yet to install. Looks good. Stepper and FIAV fits nicely. No idle stop switch though so an Evo tps may be needed if going on a VR4 motor.

I would open up the stock intake manifold to match the tb size. At least port match the face if you don't want to open up the manifold tb hole too much.
 
I matched the face on mine, it tapers down a lil bit on the inside, didnt want to go too far otherwise the walls get too thin

david c has a 500hp engine in his GSR and still uses the standard intake and throttle body, as well as ONPSI- his old E3 still had standard gear and had 309kw, soldave is another who has a big holset turbo setup on his engine and still uses standard gear also...

Unless something was wrong with the factory items its a waste of money that could be better spent on mods which would increase power.
 
My mate still has standard EVO intake and TB on his 500hp 2.3 EVO2, he is also using the OEM cooler with 2.5" end tanks
 
So in conclusion....why do people bother changing it ? If everyone here think that its a worthless mod, unless you have big power... what's the point??
 
Read the first post carefully, op mentioned that he needed a 70mm tb. I guess that's a good. Enough reason to use the S90 as its proved itself to be a reliable part. And it's all shiny and shit!
