I'm interested in one if the s90 throttle bodies and just wondering if they have provision to bolt the standard stuff to the bottom or do you delete this when going aftermarket tb?

Thanks

Never mind googled pics of them and it appears they do, now my question is are the 4g93t ones different to 4g63t or the same because evo tb will swap onto gsr?

Thanks

Yes the S90mm throttle body will bolt onto your GSR, but you may need an EVO idle stepper motor setup to bolt under the S90.
The GSR idle stepper unit [bolt pattern] is different on the GSR throttle body so you cant use it.

Thanks rob, what about a magna idle stepper? I've got a magna tb on the car at the moment

Cheers

Im pretty sure I tried using a Magna stepper motor and FIAV setup onto an EVO throttle body a while back and its design is slightly different to the EVO bolt pattern or air passages. Have a look at your Magna bolt battern compared to the pic I've attached of my EVO S90 flange and also an EVO FIAV/stepper flange.
This is the design you need - its 5 bolts that hold it together. And yes, the middle FIAV vent is correct with the way it looks split with an extra hole. This should come in handy when looking for the correct unit to suit the S90 TB ;)
PS: I think a VR4 FIAV will work too.

What exactly does the faiv do? How would the car run with it removed? I assume it adjusts the idle for cold starts and when you use ac, is that right? Since I don't have ac and the car pretty much isn't a daily is it safe to run without?

Fiav only raises the idle when engine is cold. It is a mechanical thing not ecu based.
Without it it will need you to keep your foot on the pedal to keep it running.

Up to you

The reason I ask is I got one of those big billet throttle bodies free with an intake mani I bought and I would like to just run it rather than mod the flange on the manifold, I can live with holding the throttle open for a min while warms up :) thanks jack
