Have you got a mitsi ecu or a siemens ecu? Either way, a gsr engine loom would be nice.
If you have a siemens, then a loom is required.
Personally id forget the 609 maf and get a 3g one. So a 399 evo or a 482 maf. Then you can use std gsr filterbox to turbo piping. My suggested maf are round body not oval and flow more air than the oval ones.
unless you are happy with a pod under the bonnet, then a oval one is fine.

Thanks evo-gsr and yeah mate Mitsubishi ecu as its a 2001 running maf and not map only bought basically what old mate had tuned for the edu on his cc lancer so was going to get what he had the edu tuned for he was running 18 psi tho I was more thinking 10 for mine to start with

Cheers alex. If its the proton gti engine then that might be a bit high still as they are a high compression engine anyway.
if its changed to the gsr turbo engine, it sounds good.

I have a proton jumbuck converted from siemens ecu to mitsi and ecmlink and gsr turbo engine and gearbox.

Yeah mate it is a gti engine was thinking of forged rods and cp forged pistons and yeah this ecu has that ecm link thingy how's it work via lap top what programs and fittings can I use and is it loggable will my set up work you recon and I was thinking if I don't forge just a thicker head gasket

Rods and pistons and head bolts would be good.
ecmlink is pretty good. Use a laptop, logging works fine. Online private forum is huge and pretty good. Get your mates username and password for the forum.

get a wideband so you can tune your setup. I have innovate mtx-l.

I dont know what boost if you leave it as is, maybe 4-6 psi? Dunno...

Yeah well boost wise he was running 18psi he mentioned there is a boost cut at 20psi on the ecu? how would I set up the wide band tho have only heard about it a few times but I know you basically need it for tubing properly

Cheers bro I appreciate it I looked on their site says you need to buy a kit what if the ecu had it done before how can I take a short cut just the cable or do I have to 're purchace their software and cables for the logging and tuning

You need the cable for sure for logging and tuning. Or borrow it.
You can free download the software.
you may be able to order a new cable if you give the chip number to ecmlink. Im not sure

the chip will still be inside the ecu. Or it should be.

Conversely, if you are a ludite like myself (i guess if you are a ludite then you wouldn't know what a ludite was and that would confirm whether or not you are a ludite), take a pic with your phone, Bluetooth it to your laptop. Open on paint and resize the pixels. Im certain that photobucket works better but I can't work that shit out after 3 scotches...
Further, I have a friend in gympie, don't judge me, who runs a satria gti with turbo. She runs approx 13 psi. Its a gti engine as well and has not been de compressed, 2 years strong so far...
