Security code for CD Player

Hey everyone just wondering if anyone knew how to get the security code for my factory CD player from my CE Lancer? i just put it in my mums magna and because i had to disconnect the power the thing wont work and i can't find the code anywhere. Thanks any help would be appreciated

best bet is to ring up mitsu and give them the vin number from the car the unit origionally came from..
they usually keep them on record somwhere.
you may even have to go in there so you can prove its actually your car so they dont think uve stolen the cd player.

k ive got a 2000ish model magna cd player. (factory ) umm the unlock code is 2112 for mine if that helps

I'm pretty sure they all have a random rolling code

there are only 6561 different codes it could be.

get some friends around. Make a game of it :lol:

Thanks for the suggestions guys ended up ringing mitsubishi with the vin numbers etc. They said they couldn't give it over the phone so we had to go to eastside and get it, working fine now. I think there is a few more than 6561 possiblities anyway not the way i prefer to spend an evening. Be a good drinking game though. Cheers again

ok maybe im being incredibly stupid but you have 9 numbers and you need a 4digit code so:
9^4=6561??

surely theres 10 numbers- you forgot 0!

from what I remember Its saved somewhere on my tech files as I bought the same its a case of pressing the right buttoms in the right order it wasnt a case of just pressing in a 4 digit code
will have to serch for the step by step and repost it

Found it so here's how to

To enter the security code:- Turn the ignition to the accessory position. -Press the clock button for more thatn two seconds and the first digit will appear as "0" on he display. -Press the "Tune +" button until the first number of the security code appears in the display. -Follow the previous two steps until all four numbers of the security code are visible in the display...
-when all four numbers are visible in the display, press the clock button again and the display will revert to the frequency

thats it lol.
