Server down

The forum was not accessible for most of Saturday. Just wanted to let you know that I am taking it very seriously and steps will be taken so it doesn't happen again.
This is the 3rd time in the last few weeks when the server was down, and it was 3 times too many.

Thats crap. I wouldnt be paying a host if they have that sort of strike rate - 3 strikes and their out :angry:
The coupe forum is hosted by GoDaddy. Its cheap and we havent had any downtime. Seems to work for us.

Anyway, we are moving to a new server. I am planning to take Friday off from work, and do the move overnight Australian time. If everything goes OK, you will not even notice we moved. Alternatively I will do it on Saturday.

The move itself should not take longer than 2 hours, but sometimes an update to DNS settings takes longer. I will post updates on our facebook page.

The move was not successful. The ipBoard software didn't work on the new host. I am working with them to find out what was causing the issue. We will have to schedule the move for another time.

I will attempt a second move Saturday night. The problem affecting the software seemed to be resolved. I hope it will go better this time.
