Hey everybody,

My missus was driving my car today and got a flat, but didnt realise till she got the car to my joint.......... The sidewall had parted ways with the rim somehow, so little that when i went to pump it up again, it was fine...... apart from the profuse bubbles in the tyre out of the inner sidewall!!! :?
Anyways, i did have bridgestone re711s, and now cant get them anymore......

I have 16" rims, and would prefer 215/45 profile.

have looked at Bridgestone s03, gIII, some yokohamas, and am seriously considering a semi slick like falken rt215s or dunlop d01j i think its called.......

thoughts?

thanks,
dan

semi comps seem to wear out very fast on normal roads.. youd be lucky to get about 10,000km out of a set of good semi comps.. id recommend Falken Ziex.. i have them on my car.. they are good.

I run those ones Peter Brock endorses.....

Donut technology? They handle like my car sits on meatballs.... They rule.......
Just kidding, I run Faulkens...

im sad to say your going to be struggeling to find a tyre as good as the re711's, even the guys at bridgestone said there most expencive tyre wasnt as good all round as the 711
what ever you get, post it up cos id be interested to read how you compare them to ur 711's

nexens

cbf looking out the window

made by dunlop, just with slave labour instead

if theyre good enough for lexus, theyre good enough for me

paul @ donnellans in box hill ended up finding me the last one in my size in queensland......... which is good.

ive probably only got another 10thou left on the back ones though

might be time for some new rims!

my rear tyres are falken ziex 502, apparently the last owner said they were a good tyre. My two front ones are the cheap silverstone i think, guy bought the cheap ones because it needed two new tyres for a roadworthy.

my mate has falken avenzis 115 or something like that and they have awesome grip.
I have heard good things also about the yoko es100

ive got a set of firenza 215/40/17's on my car. can't remember which model, ill check. they're made by falken and are about $205 per corner. fantastic in the dry, but apalling in the wet!!!!! wheelspin galore!

hey dre, whats the retail on one of those?? (seriously)..

im looking at toyo t1s also

I got quoted $325 each for 215x35xZR18, but said to the guy that down the road they're $315 so he gave them to me for that price.

They're kinda expensive, but you certianly pay for what you get when it comes to tyres. In the wet they're amazing- you can take corners just as good as if you were driving in the dry. In the wet on the freeway (high speed) they're second to none.

I'm pretty sure they've been superseeded by the T1R.

Runniing Bridgy RE55s. Also looking for a new set of tyres.......:(

argh.........my car is making me broke.

They are pricey but damn, the grip is unbelievable once you have warmed them up :) But in the wet, they really suck ass........ :?
