I am in need of some lash adjusters for my engine? Maby 2 would be great, does anybody, preferably in Brisbane area have some they want to part with as singles?

If one or two have gone it wont be a large amount of time till the others go....Replace them ALL.

I got to tell you guys, I didn't think there was any differance between any 4g6* DOHC parts. They all look very similar to me. The insides don't have any visual differance, however, I have been updated(by the guy at Bursons Auto) that the Hyundai motor is very differant to the Miitsi equivelant. While they look the same the Hyundai have biger valves and ports as standard, from 1.6 to the 2.2 Sonata I think.

To mention that I just bought some Cyborg injectors of ebay and installed them the other night, working, no power up or down. The Mitsi Galant extractors I fitted just a month ago fits and works, and my Mitsubishi Magna air filter fits into my can. So I wounder just how clever those trained parts interpriters realy are???

My motor is 1.8lt DOHC G4CN(4g67) If any body has some of these lifters to spare I would love to experiment with it, see if they do fit. Any 4g6* lifters would be great, I understand that most people don't want to break up a set, thats cool. I am looking for some body who has a floged head in there shed and can spare them. I of course would pey freight.
Thanks for the replys.

how do you know which lifters is the noisy one?
yeah i know, the one thats ticking.

Well there are hundreds of differences. I am not going to list them for you.

i have a 4g61 and have just used the new 3rd gen large oil hole lifters in that engine, so have a full set spare if your after them, i only had one noise one for for a long time. but dont know which one it is. but can send you them all to play with if you like.

i beleive all the dohc mitsi engines in the wide head design use the same lifters, the valves can be different but not 100% which ones, more differences in port design.

Yes there is a ticking but that is not how you tell the offending lifter. When you pull them out they should stay rigid, the plunger should not go in or out easaly. The one I found the other day was floping around very easy. I put it back in, mostly cause I don't have time to leave the car in the garage.
