I am going to get a slim line fan to give me a lil more room in the engine bay as my intake pipe is pushing against the plastic.

What fans have you used? Prices? Opinions? Size?
Should I just go for a Davies craig item?

I've got a 12 inch ICE one from Autobarn. It was quite a bit cheaper than the Davies Craig equivalent. It keeps the car just as cool as it was with the stock fan. No complaints from me! :)

Spal 12 inch from FFWD.

Doesn't push as much air as the stock one but could probably still dry your hair with it.

Temp gauge doesn't move past half.

Sweet. I'll pick up a ICE one then and give it a go.
Exhaust and cooler pipe gets done on Wednesday. Then Base map install and a general tidy of car and putting back of air con and boot and shit and im finished :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

twin 12" davis craig fans, didnt flow enough for my liking.... went back to stock fans...

you guys using these big fans and not getting sufficient cooling... wouldn't you be starting to question your radiator?

my fan doesn't even run most of the time, unless i'm sitting in traffic

one 16" flows more than 2x 12"s together.

i had twin 12s on my rx7=no good

went to 1 x 16" fan and fixed it up

My radiator was cleaned out. It's still too warm for me

1x 14inch davies unit fits nice and cools well about $140 new

I also have a 10" one I was going to fit to the intercooler but never did it....lol

It's probably a good thing i bought a 14" then.
I know the guys at Sprints in Pt Adelaide very well. I bought a "sonic" brand which the recommended. They said give it 3-4 months and if I wasn;t happy with it I can bring it back and order a Davies Craig item.

On that note, does anyone have a part number for a Davies Craig 14" pull type universal fan? Sprints book was literally from 1981!
