slow acceleration 92 lancer

I have a 4g92 automatic trans 1600 sohc lancer, have just replaced the head gasket and timed the engine also the cam timing was done , but now find there is a flat spot on acceleration engine power is not available, but eventually does deliver, I have had the fuel flow and pressure checked the gearbox has been serviced, any ideas whats happening

Are you certain you set the timing correctly? Grounded it out before setting etc?

Double check?

+1 for timing. Get a timing gun and adjust Cas. If it's off u will experience really slow acceleration
