Anyone here got any form of regular customer discounts with them?

I want to get a whole shitload of stuff and I can't find better prices. But of course, i'm being a stingy prick and I want even more off.

Anyone?

PS. I'm building my next 4g63. The shell it's going into is undecided.

My theory is to build the engine first minus manifold and turbo and i'll worry about the shell after. :D

Hey lorrie, there's a couple of people in ebay that have cheaper stuff than slowboy- i heard slowboy's shipping is slow boy.........

What are you looking at getting exactly??

I'll be shopping for internals shortly, as soon as I move house

Slow boy should be called Shit boy or even better Shunt Boy

They suck royal balls.

what did u want?

i've gone through slowboy myself..
they do take a while to ship, but at least it gets here!

lots of guys dont want to ship to aus due to the hassle

Slowboy have got some good stuff and are a great reference but they really suck in shipping. I quoted an item that was going to cost $90US to ship over. A friend of mine wanted the exact same item so I asked how much to ship 2 of them over and they said $180US!!! I mean gedafukouttahere.... shipping shouldnt have been double the price but they wouldnt budge so I told them to get fukd and bought elsewhere

I have MASSIVE issues with buying "new" parts off ebay. The whole concept rings all sorts of alarm bells with me.

I'm pretty much buying all the new parts for the head of the motor, i'll be getting the bottom end further down the track.

I'm not fussed about slowass shipping. I'm quite happy to wait 8 weeks or whatever for stuff to get here. I'm not in any hurry anymore. For christs sake, I drive a diesel.

I've had nothing but really good experiences with slowboy, from their support, customer service etc. I've rung them a few times chasing prices on parts and one of the blokes there was quite happy to tell me that he wasn't the cheapest and couldn't match the other places price. But I bought from them anyway because I don't really think 40 bucks AUD is a big difference.

I can honestly say that with all the numerous parts I have bought from American EBay and from parts suppliers in the U.S. I have saved easily between $2000-$3000 off the price I would have paid for the same/similar products over here during my engine rebuild. I have only ever had one minor problem (Prothane engine mounts) which I knew I was taking a gamble on because I wasnt sure if all the mounts fitted or not. As it turned out all but one did and so re-ordered another mount to suit. Everything else has gone without a hitch, quicker shipment to OZ than some of our own suppliers (fastest was 3 working days with Fedex, longest was probably 2 weeks). The only downfall is the risk you take if you got the wrong product shipped or it was delivered damaged. I took the risks and it paid off leaving more $$ in my pocket. I only deal with companies over there and never purchase anything privately :D I even scored a modified billet alloy Holley fuel rail from a 9 second 91 GSX Talon from Jeff, the owner of Turbotrix  There's bargains to be bought, but unfortunately there's also the element of risk and as long as you bare that in mind and make PAYPAL payments to legit businesses all should go sweet. I've been eyeing off those Coil Over Plug igntion systems at the moment (but not from Slowboy, from EBay and Buschur)

Out of interest Evo-oox, do you have a list of companies (ebay usernames) that you've dealt with in these regards? If they've got a track record with at least one member here, i'd be willing to try.

Like everyone else, i've seen shit on ebay HEAPS cheaper than retail, but ... i'm a GREAT believer in "you get what you pay for". After sales support is part of that package.

Yeah mate, here is a list of suppliers I have dealt with without a hiccup when purchasing products from America. Before committing to any EBay auction check to see if they ship internationally, then ask them how much shipping would be to Australia. Another good thing I found out to do is to look through their online store and buy multiple products if possible at the same time to save you on shipping costs in the long run. I would rather pay an extra $20 for an item off a seller who had multiple items rather than buy 2 separate items from 2 separate sellers and paying big $$ for shipping - the shipping costs are the killer. I keep a record of nearly everything I purchase (if I remember to save it on computer  ). If ordering from overseas make sure your value is kept under $1000 AU including shipping to evade import duties, customs fees, GST etc  . If you dont mind I'm not naming all the parts purchased or the value of the goods for obvious reasons :)

Dyno Flow (EBay name: dynoflo1)
Magnus Motorsports (Company Direct)
Extreme PSI (Company Direct)
DSM Motorsport (Company Direct)
EPN Racing (EBay name: engnbldr)
Loose Bolts Motorsports (EBay name: looseboltsmotorsports)
Titan Motorsports (Company Direct)
Prothane Suspension Distributors (EBay name: Prothane)
Jeff at Turbotrix (EBay name: jeff7oo9)
Top End Performance (Company Direct)
few more but cant find at this point in time as need to search through emails....

I would also like to add these local guys who have provided me with excellent customer service and communication when purchasing products:
ZenaRacing (EBay name: zenaracing) Malaysian based
Meek Performance (Company direct) Australia
GTPumps (Company direct and EBay) Australia
Performance Springs (Company Direct) Australia
Horsepowerinabox (Company Direct) Australia
Jim Berry at Race Clutch (Company Direct) Australia. Top bloke, very informative but in the last minute I purchased a comparable item from overseas for about $250 cheaper.

No probs mate, now all you have to do is go and increase the limit on your credit card  and only deal in PAYPAL transactions for overseas goods as they offer some sort of security and insurance (plus its the easiest way to pay)

I went through a guy who will match or try to better Ebay and was almost 1/2 the shipping cost of Slowboy (SBR wanted $450)
