So i might get a EVO VI ?

So in my quest to find a new car i want, iv found some EVO V I's.

Tell me about these. Can they be Flashtuned ? some say yes, some no :s

They can be flashed tuned but everyone says no as they just listen to each other

but to be fare i read your post about evo 7 i would get a evo 7 over a 6 these days just for the fact parts wise seems so many more parts out there for a 7 8 and 9 then there is 6

The 7 which was in my price range, ended up having LOADS of rust (buyer beware)
Flashtune is just ECUFlash isnt it ? ie you can do this yourself, if your smart (logging with EVOScan) Sticking with the std ecu is my preference, and i can log everything with EVOScan.

EVO 6 looks loads meaner then a 7, and from what im told, more of a drivers car (I like to drive, and drive hard)

Does the centre diff in a 6, disconnect with the handbrake, like the 7 ? to allow for high speed J-Turns

The AYC was vastly improved by the time it got to the 6, and so too was the driveline, aparently..

was the E7 an import? i cant beleive it was full of rust? from salt roads in japan?..thats bad news..

i dont think the diffs open until 7 onwards troy,

i have driven prepped 6s and 8s and 6s are far more fun,they move around more,far more fun to drive but you need to be more on the ball.

7 oneards are far more stable and easier to drive fast constantly
