Don't the ford and the Holden run the same floor pans now??? i know they are nothing like the standard cars that we see on the road. to be honest i have never seen a v8 in person lol. thinking of going to Bathurst this year tho...

Got to sit in a corporate box at Clipsal a few years back...

..bored me shitless. Went home 3/4 through the day.

Watching motorsport isn't my thing, especially V8's.

I watched GO on TV last night and they showed some ANDRA events at Willowbank during June There was the V8 Supercar Challenge with Russell Ingall in his V8 Supercheap Auto Commodore vs Grep Murphy in the Castrol Edge Commodore battling it out on the strip.

The best runs where Ingall with a flat 11.04@133mph, and Murphy got an 11.28@135mph. The other runs were around 11.6's each. Not bad for fullly prepped NA 600hp racing cars.

The TV doesn't capture the noise, a small block V8 at 7000rpm sounds the bomb!
